Dr Ruch

Dr. Ruch is a member of the American Optometric Association, a lifelong member of South Dakota Optometric Society, having served as it past president, legislative chairman and AOA Polictical Action Committee chairman for 10 years. He has been honored as AOA National Political Action Committee Chairman of the Year. His personal interests include golf, hunting, and the occasional exotic hunting trip.

Dr. James Ruch

Dr.  James Ruch, a native of Britton, South Dakota, graduated from Britton High School in 1973. In 1975 he graduated with an Associates Degree from Northern State University and later enrolled at Pacific University, graduating in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He later attended Pacific University College of Optometry and graduated in 1980 with a Doctor of Optometry. He returned to South Dakota to enter private practice as a solo practitioner in Britton, South Dakota. In 1982 he joined Gordon Bell and James Olson, and together the three created Vision Care Associates. His professional interests include all aspects of optometry with a special interest in contact lenses and age-related pathology.
